In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Belfry offered a special Pink Afternoon Tea, with £1 from each tea sold donated to the CoppaFeel! organisation. Thanks to the generous support of our guests, we raised a total of £427 to aid CoppaFeel! in their mission to promote early detection and awareness of breast cancer. This initiative allowed guests to enjoy a delightful experience while contributing to an important cause, demonstrating that even small acts can make a meaningful difference.

During October we attended a careers fair
hosted by our partner school Erdington Academy, we engaged with around 300
students and talked about the careers available to them at the Belfry and in
wider hospitality.&nbsp;&nbsp;<o:p></o:p>

Our team joined hundreds of people across the country in
a 20km walk around Birmingham to help raise vital funds for Hospitality Action,
helping promote better wellbeing &amp; mental health in our industry. In total
the team has raised £833.<o:p></o:p>

Five students from Queen Alexandra College, a national residential college and charity supporting young adults with a range of disabilities, recently visited the hotel for an insightful experience. They enjoyed a guided tour, where they learned about various roles within the hospitality industry. A highlight of their day was hearing from the Greenkeeper, who shared insights about the importance of maintaining the grounds. The visit concluded with a fun round of Minigolf, where the students showcased their skills and enthusiasm, making it a memorable and enriching day for all involved.

The Brabazon Bar team recently created and served a variety of delicious mocktails to all employees in the staff canteen, raising money for our three partner charities: MND, Teenage Cancer Trust, and Hospitality Action. Thanks to everyone's support, they successfully raised a total of £130 for these great causes.

In September,
the Belfry’s Leisure Club came together to support a worthy cause, raising £800
for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Members of the Leisure Club and Belfry staff took
part in a two-hour Spinning class, filled with energy and intensity.
Participants pedaled hard, pushing themselves throughout the session, driven by
a shared commitment to help young people battling cancer. Thanks to the
dedication and enthusiasm of our members and staff, we are proud to have made a
significant contribution to this important cause.<o:p></o:p>

We are
incredibly proud of our Meeting &amp; Events team, who took on the Tough Mudder
challenge to raise funds for one of our chosen charities, Teenage Cancer Trust.
Their teamwork, determination, and spirit helped them overcome the challenging
course, and together they raised an impressive £1,220 for this important cause.
A huge congratulations to the team for their inspiring efforts!<o:p></o:p>

The Finance and Spa teams joined forces to sell raffle tickets, offering exciting prizes for participants to win. Thanks to their efforts and the generosity of everyone involved, they successfully raised £126, which will be donated to our chosen charities: MND, Teenage Cancer Trust and Hospitality Action. These funds will help support the vital work each of these organisations does in making a difference in people's lives.

Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to visit Polesworth school and engage with hundreds of enthusiastic students about careers in hospitality. The students were eager to learn about the diverse roles within the industry, from culinary arts to hotel management, and we were excited to share our experiences and insights.&nbsp; This event underscored our commitment to inspiring and educating the next generation about the rewarding opportunities within this sector.

Throughout June we hosted an online charity auction giving
our members and staff the chance to bid on once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and
prizes. We are delighted to share that we raised £5,830 which will be split
between our three partner charities - Motor Neurone Disease, Teenage Cancer
Trust and Hospitality Action!
